Simone Stoll, Germany, Missing you
Due to the absence of the loved one, abandonment and desertion impose scenes of solitude to an utmost rawness. Body becomes the medium of expression of a mental state of fragility. Beyond words, desire and void trigger off the need to reinvent the image of the self.

Anders Weberg, Sweden, For sore eyes
Fore sore eyes is another exploration of the ambivalence of the male gaze and gendered (dis)order. It is a suggestive reflection of life in the pyrotechnic in sanatorium of consumerism freedom.
But what is really freedom?

David Kareyan, Armenia, No return
The video contextually is composed of contrasting parts: industry and nature; present and memory; reality and illusion... In the middle of this contradiction is the man, who, as embodiment of inconformity, does not see the future, and continuously turns to the past, by losing the present... Such is the character of the contemporary man, who is yet to emancipate from his fears... |

Simone Stoll, Germany, Kiss me
Seduction and attraction, erotic playfulness and rejection in the same time. A piece to express desire and rejection, a mental and physical experience between inner and outer, the self and the other. The sound adds layers of rhythm and voices, echoing in a dark distance as they read out love letters.

NON STOP VIDEO ART 2008
At this occasion the exhibition has two different parts; a projection and an installation.
During Spring 2008 Formverk made an invitation to video artists all over the world, and we got answers from a lot of authers in different countries.
We have made a selection, and choose seven video artists, represented with nine works.
Formverk has put together a 40-minutes show looping on a wall projection.
The selected works are highly individual with different expressions, and the artists use the possibilities of the technique in variuos ways.
